Getting ready for LEZ 2012
The LEZ (Low Emission Zone) standards in London are due to change for all HV(s) (Heavy Vehicles over 12 tons) and LV(s) (Lighter Vehicles between 3.5 and 12 tons) from Euro III to Euro IV Emissions Standards for PM (Particulate Matter) on 3 January 2012.
All HVs and LVs registered as new before 1 October 2006 may need to be modified to comply with the new Emissions Standards or face a £200 emissions charge each day a non-compliant vehicle is used within a LEZ.
EEC is committed to reducing carbon and particulate emissions across Europe and already supplies the necessary DPFs (Diesel Particulate Filters) complient with Euro III standards and will soon be supplying Euro IV DPF's ready for the LEZ regulation changes in 2012.
