EEC Catalytic Converters – Sports Cat Test Results

The following tests were carried out on a Lexus IS200 supercharged sports vehicle using a 200 CPSI sports catalytic converter. The back pressure test shows a substantial drop in the average back pressure recorded when a EEC sports catalytic converter is used in comparison to a standard OEM catalytic converter. At higher engine speeds the gap between the sports catalyst and OEM catalyst is more apparent which is reflected in the increase in engine power output.

Figure 1 demonstrates the difference in back pressure between a OEM Cat and a EEC sports cat. Lower is better.

Figure 2 demonstrates the difference in Engine Power Output between a OEM Cat and a EEC Sports Cat. Higher is better.
